Behavioral Modification

- Reinforcement
- Rewards
- Schedual
- Punishment
- Threating
- Modeling
- Praise
- Gives misunderstanding
- Specify the behavior
- Elimination of bad behavior
We use behavioral modification in classroom to:
1) Reinforce good behavior
2) Eliminate bad behavior
Example of reinforcer is GAMES.

Extinction (elemination) is achieved when an inappropraite behavior is ignored and an apporpraite behavior is reinforced..

Note: it is mistake to use punishment of child, cause punishment could reinforce the behavior because of the attention.
Negative side effects of using punishment:
students became disruptive
• students will continue to seek attention
• students may stop learning
• students may damage school property
